Warwick HOWARD Notice
WARWICK HOWARD The relatives and friends give notice of the passing of Warwick Howard. Warwick died on the 18th of December 2017 at his home in Forestville. He was 85. Warwick was much loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons David, Ian and Ric and their wives and children: and his past wives Marion and Pauline and his brother Stephen. He was an Alderman on Parkes Council and belonged to Apex. He attended Parkes Primary School before becoming a border at Barker College in Sydney before becoming a chartered accountant in Sydney. He was an enthusiastic tennis player, rugby union referee, cricket player and bowler in later life. He was the last of the Howards to live in Parkes and run R.S. Howard & Sons which was one of the first stores in the country to run a supermarket with shopping trolleys. The Howard family will be remembered in Parkes for the Parkes Pre School Kindergarten built by his father Esmond and volunteers in the mid 1950's; the Methodist Church built with the assistance of his grandfather Owen and great grandfather Robert Stephen; as well as the Parkes store which ran for 100 years with branches at Trundle and Peak Hill. A service will be held for Warwick at Manly Uniting Church on the 15th of January 2018 at 12 o'clock followed by a get together at his brother Stephen's house at 80 Edgecliff Esplanade, Seaforth. For catering purposes, it would be appreciated if you wish to attend please email David on: david@davidhoward.com.au
